
Knoxville Performance uses GIAC for Audi, VW, Porsche and Bentley tuning packages.
GIAC has been producing the highest quality performance software for Audi ® and VW ® performance applications for longer than most other tuners in the market today have been in existence. In fact we have been working on these applications for over 17 years now and have achieved success with these cars year after year because we have been willing to devote the time necessary to get it right. We have a variety of programs for almost every Volkswagen made from 1991 to present and most Audi cars from 1996 and later. All software performance programs feature full recalibration for all driving conditions.
GIAC was the first company in the world to flash the Bentley ® Continental GT ® through the OBD port, back in early 2005. A solder in version of the performance chip was actually released previous year, but GIAC felt that replacing the soldering iron with the flash cable added a lot of value for the average Continental GT ® customer.
The GIAC product offering for the Bentley ® Continental GT ®, CGT ®, and Flying Spur ®, may include up to five settings (OEM, Performance, Race Gas Perfomance, Valet, and Immobilizer), a privacy firewall and the Flashloader Handheld device for switching the settings. As the Continental GT ® relies on two controllers for engine management, synchronizing them for the software flash and for the program switching was definitely an impressive task. Currently the GIAC performance program for the Continental GT ® produces 100-114 hp and 120-130 ft-lbs of torque 91-93 octane dependent. Boost is increased from .5 to .9 bar in the mid range and from .5 to .8 in the high rpms. During development knock, knock correction, air fuel, boost, waste gate duty cycle and many other parameters were closely monitored as with all GIAC performance program development.
At GIAC we have the tools, experience, knowledge and diligence to create software packages that will draw out the optimum performance in all Porsche ® applications that we support. We achieve success with these cars by spending the time with them on the dyno, monitoring the performance, driveablilty, and a host of sensors and other parameters. We offer a complete range of performance programming for Porsche ® cars past and present, spanning many different applications. We have programs for fuel quality ranging from 91 to 105 octane covering both normally aspirated and turbo models. All programs feature full recalibration for all driving conditions, which we can replicate at our test facility in Irvine CA. On our four wheel load bearing dyno we can run emulators, scopes, serial diagnostic tools and air/fuel meters on a car while we simulate driving it up and down hills, blast through a quarter mile race, or just run simple power pulls.
